“I thought the workshop was excellent, exactly what the pupils needed - an active approach to Stanislavski using a text which they are studying.
It was a way for them to understand Stanislavski from both a theoretical and actor's perspective”

We provide workshops designed to run alongside the current Edexcel and AQA GCSE Drama syllabi. The workshops are delivered by an experienced GCSE Examiner | Moderator.
Devising Drama |
Our devising workshops are geared towards the student's practical performances. Our practitioner will use a blend of physical, naturalistic and experimental techniques.
The workshop can be structured to facilitate any stage of your student’s progress and will prioritise the key examination requirements that might be enhanced by the input of an outside theatre professional.

Stanislavski |
Our workshops provide a step by step approach to understanding and using the Stanislavski system. We introduce the students to exercises that would help them to understand how Stanislavski works both in theory and in practise. The exercises are the ones handed down by Stanislavski that were used at the Moscow Art Theatre as part of actor training. |

Physical Theatre based |
The practitioner starts with a professional physical and voice warm up followed by physical and experimental strategies for devising, creating a character and structuring the drama. Students explore imaginative use of staging with exercises from Brecht, Boal and Sanford Meisner to create pieces of unique drama. |
Stanislavski based |
The workshop examines the various elements of the Stanislavski system such as Objectives and Actions and how to use them in a devised piece. The practitioner then looks at what the students need to include for the devised performance and works on using the skills they have learnt with each groups pieces. The workshop focuses on the truth and creating the sub text within a piece of devised work. |
Responding to a play / text |
We examine how to analyse the play and create a character to help with the understanding and playing of the text. |
Gifted and Talented |
Our Gifted and Talented workshops are designed to stretch students giving them the skills to achieve the highest grades at GCSE. The workshop can be devising based, experimental, physical or naturalistic.
|
Our aim over all these workshops is to offer a positive experience that can easily be transferred to GCSE preparatory unit work.
